The Vision

There is a testimony in Jacob

1Qm War Scroll

"The dumb shall sing to teach feeble hands for war"

Isiah29 said “Wo unto Ariel” and continues explain,” thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.”

King David’s Psalms found at Qumran are addressed to the ‘Maskil’ meaning” the viewer, beholder and instructor of a Vision”. Although Jacob is dead, his voice was written by King David to be sung by the Levites. The Levites sang on the porch of the Temple called “Ulam” meaning tongue and the words in type allowed the image to speak.

  • Once you did put into my mouth a powerful tongue, but now it is taken away. I cannot lift my voice in any articulate [speech] to revive the spirit of the stumbling or encourage the faint with a word.87 Lips which were once so fluent38 are now stricken dumb. 15: IX, 2-X, 12 I cannot speak unless you put words in my mouth. Yet, You have set me as a banner in the vanguard9 of Righteousness, as one who interprets with knowledge deep, mysterious things; as a touchstone for them that seek the truth
